Jess has been a Beatlemaniac since he was just a little baby rocker, and on May 21, 2024 he made a lifetime dream come true by renting out the famous Abbey Road Studio Two, and singing his favorite songs by the world’s most legendary band in the very same room where they were originally recorded. His song choices don’t just point out Jesse’s personal favorites, they also highlight the mind-blowing diversity of songwriting The Beatles consistently displayed over the short seven years they recorded together. Jess writes in the booklet for this album that he hopes he did the original songs justice. He did much more than that – he knocked them out of the park in a beautiful love letter to The Fab Four, all while still maintaining his incredible range and unique sound. Just by listening to each song you can hear the labour of love and respect for the source material. He’s also joined by fellow voice acting legends Jim Cummings and Rob Paulsen in a few of the tracks, who are also both amazing singers – the latter donning his Yakko Warner voice to join Jess’s Wakko Warner in a DELIGHTFUL bonus track. Knowing what a Beatles fan Jess is, and how much joy and inspiration they brought him? I could not be more thrilled that he had the opportunity to record these songs at Abbey Road Studios, or that he shared this with us. If you’re a fan of The Beatles, or of Jess, or of Rock Sugar, or of music in general? If you have ears, even? You gotta hear this one. 🤟🏻♥️
