Alex Track - Drums, Keyboards, Vocals and Percussive Monkey Language. Son of world-renowned conductor and musical genius Gerhard Track and concert pianist Micaela Track, Alex began beating the skins and tickling the ivories at the age of 2 months. He received his Masters Degree in Music from the Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, Austria and graduated with honors by the time he was 3. After moving to Los Angeles and joining Rock Sugar, Alex came tragically close to fulfilling his lifelong dream of becoming a rock star and running his own recording studio, establishing an unusual and exotic “Track” record working in any and all areas of music including rock, jazz, blues, country, classical, commercials, movies and even, reluctantly, hip hop (Alex knew he would someday need the cash). He even nearly realized his dream of winning a Grammy award in 2007 when it was all shattered into thousands of little metal pieces after the band’s untimely disappearance. Shortly after Rock Sugar’s return, Alex found his 8 track reel-to-reel studio equipment was still intact and begged the band to record their comeback album in his studio. They told him that if he recorded it for free that they would consider keeping him in the band. Alex was very excited about this prospect and remains to be to date. Utilizing his extensive free time in his twenty years on the island, Alex learned to effectively communicate with monkeys, creating a unique percussive language with the primates. This percussive monkey language helps him in running Track Entertainment Studios in Los Angeles and also transfers into Alex’s drumming, making him the most under-rated and most under-achieving drummer in the history of metal. To rectify this, Alex is currently planning on officially starting the PMS (Percussive Monkey Society). Politically, Alex was extremely happy being on the island while George W. Bush was in office. Privately, Alex finds his life after the shipwreck to be a complete train wreck. Not being able to cope with today’s so called evolved society, Alex continues to let his ex-wife's lawyers suck the non-existent financial blood right out of his veins. Alex’s two kids are cool because they take after him though they are not yet able to speak to monkeys. Al’s kids think HE is cool because he is teaching them about honesty and the PMS. Alex loves his daughter and son very much and is taking time to get to know them and all of their stepbrothers and stepsisters of which there are 38, each from a different father.
