ROCK SUGAR HIT THE FOOD NETWORK’S “PRIVATE
CHEFS OF BEVERLY HILLS” TO ROLL-OUT CD RELEASE PARTY ON NATIONAL
TELEVISION
The world's first pop/metal “mash-up” band, ROCK SUGAR, also an
internet sensation garnering more than 350,000 YouTube hits, rolled into
the FOOD NETWORK’S “Private Chefs of Beverly Hills” to host a record
release party for debut CD REIMAGINATOR. The event took place at the
Spaceship home of lead singer, Jess Harnell.
Combining the best loved heavy metal riffs of the ‘80s, with the
sweet melodies of the world’s greatest 80’s pop classics, ROCK SUGAR
has “re-imaginated” the most beloved and classic pop songs of yesterday
with heavy metal musicianship and superb showmanship. The group has
already generated more than 350,000 hits on YouTube, 1,000 new Facebook
fans a week, and classic rock stations across the country are playing
cuts, generated solely by word-of-mouth. Some radio stations are even
having listening parties where they play the entire album front-to-back.
ROCK SUGAR will perform at METAL SKOOL on May 24 at the House of
Blues in Los Angeles and at England’s Download Festival this June
alongside Aerosmith, AC/DC and 120,000 enthusiastic rock fans.
Each track on REIMAGINATOR includes amalgamated versions of classics
you know by heart in ways you’ve never even dreamed of hearing them,
from: Don't Stop The Sandman: Don't Stop Believin' (JOURNEY) -Enter
Sandman (METALLICA); to We Will Kickstart Your Rhapsody: Kickstart My
Heart (MOTLEY CRUE) - Bohemian Rhapsody and We Will Rock You (QUEEN);
to Crazy Girl: Crazy Train (OZZY) - Jessie's Girl (RICK SPRINGFIELD); to
Shook Me Like A Prayer: Shook Me All Night Long (AC/DC) - Like A Prayer
(MADONNA); and many more…
